Exit at Genova Ovest from A10. Limited parking in historic centre (ZTL zone). Use paid parking near Principe station.

Tip: Book early. September is popular. Prefer hotels with air conditioning.

3. Dining Options Near Via Balbi

Genoa is famous for pesto alla Genovese, focaccia, farinata, and seafood. Prices are approximate per person for a full meal (primo/secondo + water + wine).

General Tips: Many places closed Sundays/Mondays. Vegetarian options available. Try local Vermentino wine.

4. Day Trips

Portofino (Recommended – Relaxed)

~1.5–2h one way. Train to Santa Margherita + ferry/bus. Scenic harbour village.

Cinque Terre

~1.5–2h to Monterosso. Train + Cinque Terre Card. Focus on 2–3 villages in one day.

Advice: Portofino better for half-day; Cinque Terre needs full day. Book trains/ferries ahead. Wear comfortable shoes.
